🎄 Chrome Extension Installation Guide 🎅

Follow these simple steps to install your Christmas Games extension!

1 Open Chrome Extensions

Open Google Chrome and navigate to the extensions page:

  • Type chrome://extensions/ in the address bar
  • Or click the three dots menu → More tools → Extensions
🚀 Open Extensions Page
2 Enable Developer Mode

In the top-right corner of the Extensions page:

  • Find the "Developer mode" toggle switch
  • Click it to turn it ON (it should turn blue)
Note: This is safe! Developer mode just allows you to load extensions from your computer.
3 Load Unpacked Extension

After enabling Developer mode, new buttons will appear:

  • Click the "Load unpacked" button
  • A file browser will open
  • Navigate to your chromeextension folder
  • Select the folder and click "Select Folder" or "Open"
Tip: Make sure you select the chromeextension folder itself, not the files inside it!
4 Pin to Toolbar (Optional but Recommended)

To keep the extension easily accessible:

  • Click the puzzle piece icon 🧩 in your Chrome toolbar
  • Find "Christmas Games Collection" in the list
  • Click the pin icon 📌 next to it

Now the Christmas tree icon will always be visible in your toolbar!

Your Christmas Games extension is now installed!

Click the Christmas tree icon 🎄 in your toolbar to start playing!

📚 Troubleshooting

Extension not showing up?

  • Make sure you selected the correct folder (chromeextension)
  • Check that all files are present (manifest.json, popup.html, icons folder)
  • Try refreshing the extensions page

Can't click "Load unpacked"?

  • Make sure Developer mode is enabled (toggle should be blue/on)
  • Restart Chrome and try again

Games not loading?

  • Make sure all game folders are in the same directory as the extension
  • Check that you're online (if games require internet)
